DUSHANBE, June 26, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Humanitarian aid has reportedly been provided to vulnerable residents of the Rasht region on the eve of the National Unity Day of Tajikistan.
An official source at President’s Executive Office says the assistance that was provided on behalf of the president of the country included 459 tons of wheat flour and macaroni, 22.5 tons of rice, 22.5 tons of sugar, 22.5 tons of beans as well as 4,500 sets of children’s clothes.
According to him, the assistance will be distributed to vulnerable families in accordance with lists set by local authorities.
