A 43-meter monument dedicated to wheat ear has been erected in Danghara district of Khatlon province.  The height of pedestal is 33 meters and the wheat ear size is 10 meters.   

President Emomali Rahmon officially unveiled the “Khushai Gandum (Wheat Ear) monument on September 12, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  

Construction of the monument has reportedly been financed by local entrepreneurs.  


Yesterday, Emomali Rahmon also attended an official opening ceremony of the Vocational Technical Lyceum in the village of Bahor, Oqsou jamoat in Danghara district.  The lyceum will accommodate 300 students to study the following disciplines: computer system; Internet technology; car repair; electrician; pastry-cook; seamstress minder; gas welder; spinner and dyer.

Besides, the lyceum offers short-term courses for jobless people.

While in Bahor village, the head of state also inaugurated the rehabilitated road connecting Bahor and Boghparvar villages.  The rehabilitation of the road has been financed by local entrepreneur Qiyomiddin Choriqulov.          


Besides, Emomali Rahmon unveiled a sports ground and a children playground in the center of the administrative center of Danghara district.  These facilities have been built by the Gulov family, the president’s website says.
