Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali has ordered to set up a commission on renaming streets in the Tajik capital. The commission will be set up at the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis).
Dushanbe mayor has signed a decree on convocation of the first session of the Dushanbe local council on March 13, according to the mayor’s office.
The session will review the results of election to the city’s legislature and set up permanent commissions of the Dushanbe Majlis.
Dushanbe legislature members will also discuss the issues of setting up the commission on renaming streets, parks and neighborhood units and the commission on implementing the country’s law on the state language.
Besides, they will nominate a candidate for the country’s upper house (Majlisi Milli) of parliament. Elections to the Majlisi Milli will take place on March 27.
