Members of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) are continuing to hold meetings with their voters. MPs are expected to hold meetings with their voters until January 10.
According to the Majlisi Namoyandagon, the meetings are being held in accordance with regulations of the lower house of parliament.
During the meetings with their voters, parliamentarians reportedly get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in the regions and problems facing their voters.
MPs also intend to study the opinion of Tajikistanis on the legislative process, the Majlisi Namoyandagon spokesman Muhammadato Sultonov told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Upon returning to the capital, parliamentarians intend to convey the opinion of the electorate on the socioeconomic situation in the regions to the government, Sultonov said.
