Tajikistan’s Innovation and Digital Technology Agency has announced the launch of the Government Services Portal in a pilot mode. The new online platform is designed to simplify and expedite citizens’ access to government services, allowing many issues to be resolved without the need for in-person visits to government offices.
Portal’s objectives and goals
Developers claim that the portal will significantly reduce the time needed to process requests, increase transparency in procedures, and provide citizens with 24/7 access to a range of government services. After completing identification, users will be able to access services freely and at any time.
The portal was developed under the Presidential Decree "On the Provision of Government Services in Electronic Form," signed on July 10, 2025. According to the decree, by the end of this year, service providers are required to create a digitalization plan for government services, aiming for full optimization and the transition of all procedures to an electronic format through the unified portal by 2030.
How does the Government Services Portal work?
The portal offers citizens access to a range of online services, including document processing, certificate requests, and services related to transport, real estate, business, and agriculture. Initially, around 20 online services are available, with plans to expand this list in the future.
Registration on the portal is done through an electronic signature or email, which allows accurate user identification and ensures data security. Additional methods of authorization may be introduced as the platform develops.
Users will be able to submit applications electronically by filling out online forms and attaching the necessary documents. After submission, the application is automatically forwarded to the relevant government agency for further processing.
Additionally, the portal allows for the receipt of results electronically, such as notifications, certificates, or confirmations, which will be available through a personal account. If a paper original is required for a service by law, citizens can pick it up at the respective government office.
The full transition to a paperless format will be carried out as part of the government program by 2030. In the future, an online payment function for government services will also be implemented, which will gradually integrate with various payment systems.
Conclusion
Tajikistan’s Government Services Portal is a significant step towards digitalizing government management, enhancing transparency, and providing convenience for citizens. This service will simplify the process of interacting with government agencies and provide access to necessary services at any time and from any location.
