DUSHANBE, September 28, 2011, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday September 28, the Drug Control Agency (DCA) destroyed more than 168 kilograms of narcotics in a special narcotic-burning incinerator, the DCA press center reports.
A totaled reportedly included 24.8 kilograms of heroin, some 68 kilograms of hashish, 24 kilograms of raw opium and 131 grams of cannabis.
Besides, 115 MDMA (ecstasy) tablets and 100 codeine tablets were destroyed in the incinerator, the source said.
The destroyed narcotics were seized by Tajik law enforcement authorities and were material evidence in four criminal cases on which court verdicts have come into effect.
