DUSHANBE, November 9, Asia-Plus -- More than nine kilograms of cannabis have been seized in one operation in Dushanbe.
The Interior Ministry spokesman Mahmadullo Asadulloyev told Asia-Plus that an operation carried out by police officers on November 8 led to the arrest of alleged drug pusher T.M., 37. “When searching his house, police officers found 9.15 kilograms of cannabis,” Asadulloyev said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug pusher and an investigation is under way.
According to the data from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), Tajik law enforcement authorities have seized more than 1,500 kilograms of narcotics since the beginning of the year.
