DUSHANBE, January 28, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Interior Ministry directorate for combating drug trafficking (drug police) have seized a large consignment of heroin in the Roudaki district.
An operation carried out by drug police officers in the district on January 27 led to the arrest of local resident I.U. “2 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from him,” said the source. “When searching his house drug police officers found some 2 more kilograms of heroin.”
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug pusher and an investigation is under way.
