DUSHANBE, February 19, 2013, Asia-Plus -- On Monday February 18, a command-and-staff drill for special units of Tajikistan’s law enforcement and power-wielding structures took place at the Fakhrobod training ground, some 30 kilometers to the south of Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
An official source at a MoI says the exercise involved servicemen from Alpha Group (counter-terrorism task-force of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Special Purpose Mobile (OMON) of the MoI, special company of the MoI, special rapid response company of the National Guards, etc.
The exercise scenario was based on repulsing terrorist attacks.
Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimov, SCNS Chairman Saymumin Yatimov and the National Guards Commander Rajabali Rahmonaliyev observed the exercise, the source added.
