DUSHANBE, May 24, 2013, Asia-Plus -- A new building of border unit in the Ghonchi district, Sughd province was handed over to Tajikistan’s Border Guards on May 24 at an event attended by Saymumin Yatimov, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Sherali Mirzo, Commander of Tajik Border Guards, and Rasoul Qohirzod, Governor of Sughd Province.
“The Construction Department at President’s Executive Office has constructed the building,” Khoushnoud Rahmatulloyev, a spokesman for Tajik Border Guards, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, the building consists of officer housing, dining facilities, barracks, and maintenance facilities.
