DUSHANBE, January 26, 2016, Asia-Plus – On Saturday, 23 January, the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe and the Ministry of Interior of Tajikistan conducted a security exercise at the U.S. Embassy.
According to the U.S. Embassy, this exercise was the culmination of a three week training event sponsored by the Embassy’s Regional Security Office to increase the reactionary capabilities of the Ministry’s Special Forces personnel in emergency situations. Their training included instruction on the proper use of force, restraint techniques, tactical movements, unit communications, and emergency first aid.
The U.S. Embassy will partner with the Tajik Law Enforcement Forces to provide several training events in 2016.
