On the night of August 30 of this year, three members of an international terrorist organization illegally crossed the line of the Tajik-Afghan border on the territory of Kevron village Darvaz direction.

"Their goal is to commit a terrorist act on the territory of Tajikistan on the eve of the day of state independence," reports NIAT "Khovar" with reference to the State Committee for National Security of the country.

According to the ministry, it became known about the attempted terrorist attack in advance, the location and routes of movement of the terrorists were taken under surveillance, they were surrounded.

"On the morning of September 5, the anti-terrorist group of the State Committee for National Security encircled the location of the militants, demanded to surrender. The terrorists did not respond to the demand and were the first to open fire with their existing weapons. After that, as a result of the counterterrorist operation, three members of the terrorist group were eliminated," the report says.

The State Security Committee notes that in addition to the weapons they have with them, the terrorists also transported a large batch of weapons, military ammunition and explosives, cash and communications equipment from a neighboring country in advance and placed them in caches.

At the scene and in the cache, 5 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 2 M-16 sniper rifles, an M-4 carbine, 4 pistols, 13 hand grenades, many magazines for weapons and ammunition, various devices, including night vision binoculars, 30 packages of plastid (explosive), were found and seized. 162 detonator capsules, remote controls for explosives, $10 thousand, medicines and religious literature.

Notebooks of members of the terrorist group with notes, diagrams and maps, instructions for the use of explosives, ways of laying them, places of mass gathering of people, the location of government buildings and institutions, etc. were also found.

"As a result of operational investigative measures and identification of the bodies, it was found out that all the terrorists were members of the “Ansorullo Jamaat”:

- Bobojonov Zarif Makhmudjonovich (nickname "Usmon"), was born in the Kulkand jamoat of Isfara, one of the leaders of the terrorist organization "Jamaat Ansorullo".

- Bahodurov Farkhod Basharovich (nickname "Abu Musab"), was born in the village of Sherbegien jamoat Safedchashma Nurabad district.

- Kosimov Akhtam Sultonovich, was born in Kulyab (nickname "Ubaid")," the Committee notes.

According to the State Security Committee, a criminal case was previously opened against these people under article 401 (Illegal involvement and participation of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan and stateless persons in armed units, armed conflict or military operations on the territory of other states) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, all of them were wanted.

"These are not the first attempts by members of the “Ansorullo” terrorist group to destabilize the situation in the republic. On April 26 of this year, 2 members of this organization also illegally crossed the line of the state border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan in the Dashti Yazgulyam section of Vanj district in order to commit a terrorist act. As a result of the anti-terrorist operation, the terrorists were neutralized," the agency reports.

At the same time, it is noted that "the analysis and evaluation of the available reliable data indicates that these terrorist attacks were purposefully planned by the special services."

"These terrorist groups have undergone combat training under the leadership of these structures. They were provided with military equipment, explosives, and finances," the State Security Committee reports, but what special services and structures are not reported.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact, operational search and investigative measures are continuing.
