KULOB, February 14, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Poetess from Kulob, Galiya Khaliulova, has been granted a jubilee medal “15 Years of OSCE in Tajikistan.”
Speaking at the medal awarding ceremony, Mr. Sasho Grigorov, an officer of the OSCE Program for Khatlon province (as said), noted that Ms. Khaliulova was granted the medal not only for her creative work but also for her ability to have the knack of tuning in to people.
According to him, the OSCE filed office in Kulob got to know Galiya Khaliulova when she came to the office over problems facing the Russian-speaking population, elderly people who do not have relatives and vulnerable people.
“Ambassador Ivar Vikki, Head of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, had face-to-face meeting with Ms. Khaliulova and the conversation developed into the program of support for center for orphans and elderly people,” Mr. Grigorov said.
To-date, only 25 persons have been granted the “15 Years of OSCE in Tajikistan” medal, he added.
