SUGHD, April 21, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Pochtai Tojik (Tajik Post Office)’s branch in Sughd province has concluded contracts with private-car owners on delivering republican and regional newspapers to it subscribers, Abduvohid Nodirov, acting director of the Pochtai Tojik’s office in Sughd, told Asia-Plus today.
According to him, they have concluded contracts with private-car owners on delivering the newspapers to Jabbborrasulov, Spitamen and Konibodom districts.
“To other districts and cities of the province, newspapers are also delivered by private-car owners, regular buses and vehicles belonging to Pochtai Tojik,” said Nodirov, “Of 24 vehicles local office of Pochtai Tojik has, only seven are in working order and five of them work in Khujand.”
He noted that Pochtai Tojik’s office in Sughd now had nearly 150,000 subscribers to nearly 90 republican, regional and city newspaper and magazines. “The delivery of one republican newspaper to subscriber costs 8 dirams and the delivery of the regional newspaper costs on average 10 dirams,” Nodirov said.
According to him, 306 people, including 208 women, now work fro Pochtai Tojik’s office in Sughd at an average monthly wage of 145 somoni.
