KULOB, January 10, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Two new modern schools will be built in the city of Norak under financial support of the Government of China.
“An estimated budget for construction of these schools is 14 million U.S. dollars and China has awarded a grant for construction of them,” Norak Mayor Homid Abdulloyev told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Last year, local authorities built more than 10 classes in two rural schools due to funds allocated from the city and the republican budgets, the mayor noted.
34 schools with 12,000 students now function in Norak.
