KHUJAND, February 21, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Three suicide cases were reported in the northern province of Sughd on Wednesday (February 20) alone.
According to the Interior Ministry’s office in Sughd, a 63-year-old resident of the village of Isfisor in the Bobojonghafurov district, T.A., was found hanging in a shed Wednesday morning, at around 8:00 am.
M.K., 45, from the Ghonchi district also committed suicide by self-hanging.
The third suicide case was reported in the Asht district. A 56-year-old resident of the Shoboda village also hanged himself.
According to the statistical data from the Interior Ministry’s office in Sughd, 18 suicide cases were reported in northern Tajikistan last month. Men reportedly committed suicide in eight cases and women committed suicide in ten cases.
