UN chief concerned over Iran non-compliance with UNSC resolutions

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is concerned over that fact that the Iranian authorities have up to now not fulfilled corresponding resolutions of the UN Security Council.

, July 11, Asia-Plus - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is concerned over that fact that the Iranian authorities have up to now not fulfilled corresponding resolutions of the UN Security Council. Ban made this statement at a press conference at the UN headquarters on Thursday answering a question concerning his reaction to the recent tests of Iranian missiles.
He said all UN member states must fulfil resolutions of the Security Council. Ban noted that he has been stressing and repeating this all the time. The UN head urged the Iranian authorities to act as a responsible member of the United Nations.
Ban admitted that the Iranian nuclear programme is causing his serious concern. In this connection he urged the Iranian authorities to continue talks on the nuclear programme with the European Union and with all parties concerned. The UN chief noted that certain progress has been seen in this sphere of late.
