President Dmitry Medvedev said his talks with Chinese Chairman Hu Jintao had confirmed the commitment to strategic partnership between the two countries.
After the talks on Wednesday, Medvedev said: “Our talks were held in a friendly, constructive and confidential atmosphere that confirmed the strategic relationship and the mutual intention to develop it on the basis of good-neighbourliness, trust and mutual benefit.”
The Russian president also thanked Chinese colleagues for the constructive joint work within the SCO and BRIC summits. “Ahead of the 60th anniversary of our diplomatic relations we determined tasks and key directions of further development of bilateral relations,” Medvedev added.
