Russian President Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting of the Petersburg dialogue forum on Thursday urged to develop the Russian-German civil dialogue. Speaking about the need to develop bilateral relations he expressed the view that it is necessary to more actively use cooperation between the two countries’ youth.
The president also believes it is necessary to develop the studying of the German and Russian languages in the two countries. “This interest exists,” he stated calling for the creation of bilingual schools in Russia and Germany. “I’m certain that they will be in demand among the numerous Russian-speaking diaspora in Germany,” said the Russian leader.
