DUSHANBE, December 4, 2015, Asia-Plus – Russian media outlets report Azerbaijan will invest nearly 20 billion U.S. dollars in Turkey’s economy within the next few years.
According to Sputnik , this was announced yesterday by Azeri President Ilham Aliyev at a press conference after talks with Turkish Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu.
According to the President, some of these investments have already been made, and “this once again reflects our political will.”
“Such investments are made only in the economies of friendly countries,” said Aliyev. He stressed that Azerbaijan and Turkey cooperate closely in all areas, including humanitarian. “We have excellent cooperation in the military sphere also,” said the President of Azerbaijan.
