DUSAHNBE, July 25, Asia-Plus -- Sulaymon Abdulvohidov, Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Training, told a news conference in Dushanbe on July 24 that the Second International Youth Tennis Tournament for Tajik President’s Cup will be held in Dushanbe from August 20-27.
According to him, government’s resolution on holding this contest was passed on July 21. “The government has provided 125,000 Somonis for holding the tournament,” Mr. Abdulvohidov said.
He noted that Tajikistan’s Committee for Sports and Physical Training had sent invitations for taking part in this tournament to 12 countries.
We will recall that 50 young tennis players from Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China and Japan took part in the First International Youth Tennis Tournament for Tajik President’s Cup that was held in Dushanbe last year.
