DUSHANBE, August 28, Asia-Plus -- Tajik tennis player Bakhtiyor Sadulloyev has won 2006 International Youth Tennis Tournament for Tajik President’s Cup among U12 boys, and among U12 girls, tennis player from Uzbekistan Alisa Ogorodova has been recognized the best in this tournament.
The international youth tennis tournament for Tajik President’s Cup ended in Dushanbe on August 26. U12 tennis players from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan are taking part in this tournament. The tournament runs through August 26.
Winners were given certificates and prizes in money. The tennis player who took the first place received US$1,000, second place – US$800, and third place – US$600. Young sportsmen participating in pair plays received US$800, US$600 and US$400 for the first, second and third place respectively.
Prize money and funds for conducting the tournament have been provided by the Government of Tajikistan. 125,000 Somonis had been provided for conducting U12 2006 international youth tennis tournament for Tajik President’s Cup.
