KHOROG, February 1, Asia-Plus  -- Soccer team Pomir (Badakhshon), created on an initiative of the GABO chief prosecutor Rashid Gulmadshoyev, will represent Gorno Badakhshan in this year’s republican soccer tournament in the first division.

According to him, local authorities, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and local entrepreneurs have provided financial support to create the team.   

“The team is currently being trained in Dushanbe and once rehabilitation of the central stadium in Khorog is completed our soccer players will be trained here,” the prosecutor said.
