DUSHANBE , March 16, Asia-Plus - On Wednesday March 15, members of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) mission met in Dushanbe with representatives from a number of Tajikistan ’s banks.

The IDB mission comprising regional office project officer Alma Isabayeva, and project specialists Mustafa Boss and Farrukh Abdullah Alvuni and led by the IDB deputy director for commerce, Najib Hussein, arrived in Tajikistan on March 14.  

According to information from the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), the IDB mission held talks with leaderships of “Oryonbonk”, “AgroInvestBonk” as well as with Fernand Pillonel, Head of EBRD Resident Office in Dushanbe

In the course of the talks the sides discussed the ways of expanding cooperation, in particular in the banking sphere, the NBT source said.  

According to the source, the main purpose of the visit is for the IDB delegation to study ways of expanding economic and trade cooperation between Tajikistan and other member nations of the IDB.
