KONIBODOM, November 27, Asia-Plus -- Electrical power blackout plunged the Konibodom district in Sughd into darkness Friday evening.
Homes, office and even schools and kindergartens, except the central district hospital, have been left without electricity in the city.
The blackout disrupted the TV and radio-broadcasting system in the city and local TV station was not able to go on the air Friday to broadcast a special program about the upcoming power cutbacks. On Friday, the city authorities decided to use local radio station and mobile clubs to carry out explanatory work among the population about the forced cutbacks.
In the meantime, representatives from the Konibodom electric system have refrained from commenting on the reasons for the blackout, noting that they also do not know about them.
We will recall that the Konibodom authorities introduced new measures rationing electricity supplies in Konibodom on November 20. The cutback has resulted in the supply of daily electric power having been reduced to three hours – one hour of electricity in the morning (from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.) and two hours in the evening (from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
