DUSHANBE, October 1, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday September 29, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev met with local entrepreneurs dealing with supplying and selling wheat flour at city’s bazaars as well as directors of state-run and private marketplaces to discuss issues related to setting prices of flour and baked goods.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, says the mayor drew attention of those present to the cases of unfounded increase in flour prices that have been registered in the city recently.
The mayor ordered the state unitary enterprise for producing, purchasing and stocking essential goods in Dushanbe and directors of local marketplaces to increase flour sales.
Besides, the mayor ordered relevant organizations to offer for sale 300 tons of flour per day at the price of 150.00 somoni for a 50-kilograms sack of flour beginning on October 1, the spokesman said.
