DUSHANBE, October 3, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Central bank heads from member nations of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) has gathered in Dushanbe for the 27th meeting of the EAEC council of heads of central (national) banks.
This two-day meeting that kicked off today has brought together delegations from Tajikistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia as well as representatives from the Interstate Bank and the EAEC Executive Committee.
Adbughaffor Qurbonov, a spokesman for the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), says the meeting is expected to consider twelve issues, including conditions of international balance of payments and dynamics of international reserves of the EAEC member nations, opportunities of unification of the regulative capital requirements as well as the results of analysis of the level of development of currency markets of the Community member nations.
The meeting will also discuss the program of actions of the EAEC council of heads of central (national) banks for 2013-2014.
Founded on February 15, 2001, the EAEC council of heads of central (national) banks is dedicated to promote development and strengthening of the banking cooperation within the EAEC area.
