Landslide blocks 50-meter section of highway from Dushanbe to Khorog

Torrential rain on July 3 caused a landslide that blocked the highway from Dushanbe to Khorog in the Darvoz district of Gorno Badakhshan.

According to information from the Ministry of Emergencies Situations (MES), a landslide caused by torrential rain blocked a 50-meter section of the highway from
Dushanbe
to Khorog near the
village
of
Turgmoni
in the Darvoz district, 327 kilometers of
Dushanbe
. No injured was reported, according to the source.
At present employees of the Darvoz emergencies are carrying out work to repair the highway.
