DUSHANBE, April 7, Asia-Plus - A number of traffic accidents has considerably increased in Tajikistan, according to Tajik traffic police directorate.
Habibullo Munavvarov, a spokesman for Tajik traffic police directorate, said in an interview with Asia-Plus that 357 traffic accidents hade been registered in the country over the first three months of the year, which is 13% more than in January-March 2006, when 285 accidents were registered in Tajikistan.
According to him, 74 people have been killed and 357 others have been injured in the traffic accidents registered in the country of the first quarter of 2007.
