DUSHANBE, May 14, Asia-Plus - To prevent traffic accidents involving children, Tajik traffic police will launch a 15-day dubbed “Children” on May 15, Asia-Plus has learned at press service of Tajik traffic police directorate.
Abdullo Munavvarov, a spokesman for the Tajik traffic police directorate, said that the action will last till May 30. During these 15 days, traffic police officers will hold meetings with pupils at pre-school facilities, as well as pupils and teachers at secondary schools across the country, and organize various competitions and quizzes on traffic regulations.
“Unfortunately, child injures situation evokes serious concern,” said the spokesman. “Since the beginning of this year alone, 13 minors have been killed and more than 100 others have been injured in pedestrian and traffic accidents.”
The operation dubbed “Children” is carried out in Tajikistan annually at the end of school year.
