DUSHANBE, May 15, Asia-Plus - A two-day conference on preventing and reducing disaster risks in Tajikistan is concluding in Dushanbe today.
The conference staged by the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES) has bought together specialists from the Institute of Seismology, Health Ministry, Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources, and Ministry of Finance.
The source at a CES said that the conference has summed up the results of work carried out by the CES Information-Analytical Center in 2005-07.
The conference is expected to result in making up a map of disaster-prone areas in the country.
