DUSHANBE, January 23, Asia-Plus -- The State Committee for National Security is investigating an explosion that occurred in the center of Dushanbe Saturday evening.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the explosion occurred in a courtyard of one of residential buildings near the TsUM (Central Department Store) building on January 19, at around 7:15 p.m.
Eyewitnesses said that the explosion had sounded like a loud clap.
In the meantime, the source at a MoI said that the explosion had destroyed an iron refuse bin and splinters of hand grenade had been discovered at the explosion site. No damage or injured was reported, according to the source.
