QURGHON TEPPA, May 21, Asia-Plus -- To prevent traffic accidents involving children, traffic police in the province of Khatlon have launched 10-day operation dubbed “Children.” The action was launched on May 20 and will last till May 30.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Yormahmad Davlatov, a spokesman for the Khatlon traffic police directorate, 33 traffic accidents involving children and teenagers have been registered in the province since the beginning of this year. 9 children have been killed and 28 others have been injured in those accidents.
