DUSHANBE, September 7, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Tremor measuring 3.0-4.0 on a 12-point scale jolted Dushanbe Saturday (September 6) morning at 10:48 a.m., according to the Dushanbe seismological station.
Centered in the territory of Afghanistan, some 298 kilometers to the southeast of Dushanbe, the quake could be felt in the Khatlon province as well. Thus, tremor’s magnitude in Norak was 3.0 on the 12-point scale.
In the epicenter, quake’s magnitude was 4.0-5.0 on the Richter scale. No damaged or injured was reported, according to the source.
It is to be noted that it was already third tangible quake in Tajikistan this month. The first two ones occurred on September 1 and 5.
