DUSHANBE, December 11, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Four persons were killed and at least two others were injured on December 10 as a sedan Mercedes collided with a truck in the Khatlon province, according to the Tajik traffic police directorate.
“The accident took place in the Bokhtar district, near the Bustonqala area,” said the source, “Nourullo Zunavarov from the Vose district ran his Mercedes into a truck Dong-Feng driven by Mahmadullo Chillakhonov; as a result of the collision, Zunavarov and his four passengers, including a five-year-old baby, died on the spot, while two others, including a 13-year-old girl, sustained various injuries and were taken to the hospital in the city of Qurghon Teppa.”
1,514 traffic accidents have been registered in Tajikistan over the first eleven months of this year; 430 people have been killed and 1,754 others have been injured in those accidents.
