KHOROG, January 27, Asia-Plus -- In Gorno Badakhshan during 2005, 455 crimes were registered, which is two cases fewer compared to 2004, Faromuz Faromuzov, a spokesman for the GBAO police directorate, said in his interview with Asia-Plus.
Compared to 2004 the crime detection rate increased by 3 percent and amounted to 90.6 percent last year.
According to Faromuzov, the regional power-wielding structures confiscated 99 sub-machine-guns, 12 pistols, 81 unit of other firearms, 12 hand grenades, two 80-millimeter cannons and 40,000 bullets of different caliber from the population last year.
