QURGHON TEPPA, May 14, Asia-Plus -- The military prosecutor’s office of the Qurghon Teppa garrison has completed the preliminary investigation into case of Komiljon Sultonov, member of military medical commission for Khatlon’s Rumi district, who faces charge of negligence.
The source at the military prosecutor’s office said that on October 18, 2007, Komiljon Sultonov passed medical resolution that local resident Saydali Hojimatov is fit for military service, while he has an intellectual disability.
“Following doctor’s resolution, Hojimatov was sent for military services to military unit 06870 of the Ministry of Defense; ten days later, he was hospitalized and given an early discharge from military service on medical grounds,” the source said.
Sultonov’s case has moved to the Khatlon military court, and if convicted, Sultonov could face up to two years in prison on the negligence charge.
