DUSHANBE, November 18, 2014, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office has refused an application by shareholders of “Inom” Bazaar in Khatlon’s Shahritous district for permission to hold a protest demonstration in Dushanbe.
An official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office says a refusal decision was handed over to Ms. Sanavbar Abdulloyeva, the owner of “Inom” Bazaar, on November 18.
According to him, the demonstration organizers did not observe the requirements of the country’s law on demonstrations in their application.
The application for permission to hold a demonstration outside the High Economic Court of Tajikistan in Dushanbe on December 5 was reportedly lodged to the mayor’s office on November 13.
The “Inom” Bazaar owner accuses president’s brother-in-law (wife’s brother), Muhibullo Sadulloyev, of illegally capturing 50 percent of shares in the bazaar.
