Soldiers of the 201st Russian Military Base in Tajikistan were found guilty in committing the crime and have been sentenced to the long prison terms, which they will serve in the Russian Federation.
A soldier Fyodor Basimov received 17 years in the strict regime colony, and Ildar Sahapov is sentenced to 13 years and one more year of restraining the liberty.
The trial was held behind the closed doors in the 201st RMB in Dushanbe.
Early State Prosecutor asked the court to sentence the defendants Sahapov to 14 years, and Basimov to 18 years.
Recall, that the body of taxi driver was found with the cut throat on August 19 last year near the lake in the Chimteppa village of Rudaki district in the suburbs of Dushanbe.
