DUSHANBE, September 15, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States were discussed here yesterday at a meeting of Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi and U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan Kenneth Gross, the Tajik MFA information department reports.
In the course of the talks, the two discussed the process of Tajikistan’s joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), regional cooperation and a number of international issues being of mutual interest.
On the same day, Tajik minister received Ms. Laylee Moshiri-Gilani, new UNICEF Resident Representative in Tajikistan. He congratulated her on her new position and wished her success in her work.
Ms. Laylee Moshiri-Gilani, for her part, informed Zarifi of ongoing and future projects of UNICEF in Tajikistan.
