DUSHANBE, March 6, 2012 Asia-Plus -- On Monday March 5, President Emomali Rahmon received Azeri Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev, who is cochairman of the Tajik-Azeri intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation.
According to the presidential press service, the two discussed state and prospects of further expansion o bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
Rahmon and Mustafayev reportedly expressed satisfaction wit the results of the first meeting of the Tajik-Azeri intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation that took place in Dushanbe yesterday.
The sides outlined sectors like trade, investment, industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and tourism, as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
They also considered issues related to increase in transit opportunities of both countries for cargo shipments, the source added.
