DUSHANBE, December 4, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The British Embassy in Dushanbe has launched a blog entitled “UK in Tajikistan.”
According to press release issued by the Embassy, the blog’s address is http://blogs.fco.gov.uk/ukintajikistan/ and it aims to provide more information about what the UK is doing in Tajikistan, explain aspects of diplomatic work and to give an insight into the kind of challenges that Embassies face in the modern world.
The blog launched at the end of November 2012 to complement the Embassy website ( www.ukintajikstan.fco.gov.uk ) and to provide ongoing interaction with its web audience.
Over the coming weeks and months the staff of Embassy, including the British Ambassador, Robin Ord-Smith, will be taking turns to tell its readers about what has been going on in Tajikistan, as well as in the UK.
In his first post on the blog, Mr. Ord-Smith wrote, “The most important thing about this blog is that we very much welcome your thoughts, comments and suggestions on what we are talking about. We want to broaden and stimulate debate – so let us know what you are thinking by using the comments feature. If you want us to talk about a specific subject, please suggest that too.”
