DUSHANBE, August 29, Asia-Plus -- Improvement of fighting efficiency of the country’s armed forces and strengthening of the fight against drug trafficking as well as a progress of the implementation of the amnesty law were discussed at a meeting presided over by President Emomali Rahmonov on August 28.
The meeting participants included heads of Tajikistan’s power-wielding structures. The meeting also considered issues related to preparations for a military parade that will be held in Dushanbe on occasion of the 15 th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.
During the meeting President Rahmonov pointed to the necessity of more active coordination of activities of the law enforcement agencies and the power-wielding structures, according to presidential press service.
The head of state also drew attention of those present to the issues of making adequate preparations for the winter season and rehabilitating facilities of the country’s border troops.
