During his working trip to the Danghara district (Khatlon province), President Emomali Rahmon on July 12 got acquainted with activities of the Chashmai Nuqra (Silver Spring) Commercial Cooperative.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the head of state visited the Cooperative’s orchard, which had been laid out on an area of 402 hectares in a waterless area.

Local gardeners have reportedly planted grapes on an area of 32.6 hectares and apricots, cherries, sweet cherries, pears, plums, quinces, almonds, cherry-plums and other fruits in the rest of the orchard’s territory.  

A total area of the Chashmai Nuqra Commercial Cooperative is 1,130 hectares, including 402 hectares of orchards and 728 hectares of pastures and hills.
