On Thursday November 28, Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali met here with the head of the World Ethnosport Confederation (WEC) Necmettin Bilal Erdogan, who is the son of the Turkish incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Dushanbe Administration press center.
The two reportedly discussed issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey in the framework of the World Ethnosport Confederation.
Rustam Emomali, in particular, noted that Tajikistan attaches significance to development of traditional sports.
The Committee for Traditional Sports has been established in the country, he noted.
Emomali and Erdogan also exchanged views on revival and development of the traditional sports, the Dushanbe Administration press center said.
In the course of the talks, Rustam Emomali noted that Dushanbe has expanded collaboration with representatives of the Turkish business community.
Today, more than 20 companies with participation of Turkish capital successfully operate in Dushanbe.
