DUSHANBE, March 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajik police have reported a 100-kilogram drug haul.
Mahmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), says some 100 kilograms of various narcotics, including heroin, raw opium and hashish, were found hidden in a storehouse of the food shop, Sabina, in Dushanbe’s neighborhood # 82 today. According to him, these narcotics have been transported to Dushanbe from one of districts in Khatlon province.
The shop director, his brother and the storehouse manager have been arrested on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking. Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way, the spokesman said.
