DUSHANBE, December 6, 2011 Asia-Plus -- Sharpshooters from the Russian military base in Tajikistan are currently taking training courses on fighting under mountain conditions, Captain Dmitry Matushkin, an assistant to the commander of the Russian military base in Tajikistan, told Asia-Plus Tuesday afternoon.
According to him, the training courses are being conducted at the training grounds of Lohour, Momirak and Sambuli. The training courses will last till December 24.
“In June 2012, our snipers will participate in a special antiterrorism exercise that will be held on the sidelines of a joint antiterrorism command and staff drill for armed forces of member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, dubbed Peace Mission-2012,” Matushkin said.
