DUSHANBE, April 5, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The Review of the Drug Situation in Tajikistan for 2011 was presented in Dushanbe on April 4.
The report is prepared by the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under financial support of the OSCE office in Tajikistan, the DCA press center says, noting that the report is published in Tajik, Russian and English.
The report-handover ceremony was attended by Lieutenant-General Rustam Nazarov, Director of the DCA, Alastair Butchart-Livingston, Head, Political-Military Department, OSCE Office in Tajikistan, s well as senior representatives from Tajik counternarcotics agency and the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
Speaking at the report-handover ceremony, Tajik drug control chief appreciated OSCE Office for fruitful cooperation in combating drug trafficking and financial support for publication of the report.
For his part, Mr. Alastair Butchart-Livingston assured that the OSCE Office in Tajikistan would continue provide supporting to the DCA in the future as well.
The Review of the Drug Situation in Tajikistan for 2011 will be distributed to public institutions in Tajikistan, diplomatic missions and international organizations active in the country, public associations and media, as well as competent agencies of the CIS nations.
