KHUJAND, July 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The branch of Barqi Tojik (the state-owned utility responsible for generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in Tajikistan) in Sughd province has allocated money for purchase of an apartment for family of girl who became invalid after a powerful electric shock.
The Barqi Tojik representatives have handed over to her parents 60,000 somoni for purchase of the apartment and 11,000 somoni for medical treatment.
We will recall that an eight-year-old Sarvinoz suffered a powerful electric shock last April when she came in contact with high-tension wires.
The accident occurred in school. Playing with her classmates in the schoolyard, Sarvinoz ran into transformer substation and received a powerful current rush. “I saw that door is open but it did not know that it is switchboard,” said Sarvinoz, “I touched wires by accident and received electric current rush.”
According to specialists, Sarvinoz fell under high voltage. Sarvinoz was in hospital from April 15 to May 11. The fist four days, she was in critical condition. Doctors were forced to amputate her both hands.
