DUSHANBE, July 12, 2012, Asia-Plus -- A two-day visit of Minister of Labor and Social Protection Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov to the districts in the Zarafshon Valley, Sughd province concluded yesterday.
An official source at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MoLSP) says the minister visited the Ayni district and the city of Panjakent. His discussions with local administrators focused mainly on relocation of the population of the mountain areas with limited land resources to the plains.
During his stay in the city of Panjakent, Mahmadaminov visited local center for elderly people and persons with disabilities, which is financed by the government, the source said.
During the visit, the minister reportedly also got acquainted with activities of MoLSP’s subdivisions and adult training centers operating in the area.
